I miss a month and look what happens!

Whats all this about a Magic Chicken Diet?

Already there seems to be a fog of misdirection involved in this new diet, and it is interesting to note the style of those who support / run it.

Rather than simply stating that they have nothing to do with Kimkins, and leaving it at that, the posts and comments I have seen have been a mix of little attacks on those who would query it, and a lot of unnecessary self-explanation.

However, if this saga continues, it will provide a wealth of chicken ideas for my graphics, along with, perhaps, some spin-off diets:-

The Magic Mushroom Diet (you don't lose weight, but imagine that you have, and that you are now a small oak twig.)

The Magic Marker Diet (you draw, on your body, the outline of how you want to look.)

The Magic Eraser Diet (simply rub out the parts you don't want.)

Welcome Back!

I was very glad to hear that the Circus was back in town!

Yep, you sure can miss out on a whole bunch when you are gone for a month.

But not too much has changed. We are still working hard to get everyone on board with the and trying to get the word out about the dangers of the Kimkins Diet.

Help Spread The Word: !

Please stick around for a while this time, ok?

I came across another new diet the other day: The Genie Diet. You might want to add that to the mix. Kimkins actually sounds pretty boring in comparison.

Been missing all your wonderful Kimkins funnies.

This one takes the cake though--ChicKins--she may decide to change the name of the site after this.

Marisol--checked out the Genie Diet. The Kimkins Diet pales in comparison.

Now I know what the problem is. I should be following the "magic" meat and martini diet. Maybe that is the problem with Kimkins. There was no real magic, just smoke and mirrors.

Laughing at the chickKins fitting.

I think the magic eraser diet has already been used when Heidi Diaz started posting her "real" photos, albeit photoshopped, on the front page of the website. The photoshopped spanx she was using is the techie's version of the magic eraser.

Glad to see you back blogging.
Wishing you the best in the New Year of 2008!

The "Time Worstall Tabloid Edition" says:

November 12, 2007
Kimkins, or the Kimkins diet has been shown up to be just another scam on the unsuspecting.

Heidi "Kimmer" Diaz, the founder of the Kimkin's diet - a low carb, low calorie diet - is schedule to appear in a Southern California court on Monday, November 12th, 2007. 11 former users of her Kimkins diet program filed a complaint against her one week ago, claiming fraud, false advertising, and unjust enrichment.
The Kimkin's scandal began when Woman's World, a popular women's magazine featured an article on the Kimkin's diet.

Ms Diaz, who was claiming to have lost 198 pounds in 11 months using her diet plan, refused to meet with the magazine in person, instead corresponding through email. She went so far as to send the magazine before and after pictures that looked nothing alike, which makes sense when people found out that the before pictures were Ms. Diaz, however the after pictures were taken from a Russian 'mail-order' bride web site.

The kimkins diet advised eating just 500 calories a day. That less than concentration camp victims were getting:

Kimkins diet followers reported hair loss, menstrual cessation, irregualr heartbeat, fainting spells, and liver damage from the starvation diet scam.

No damn wonder! Let's hope she's jailed where she can get a decent diet!

Welcome back! How was life on the road with the circus??! Love the Magic Market diet!

It is so important, especially at this time of year, to warn people desperate to lose weight of the dangers of signing up with any starvation diet plan.

There is a lot of money to be made on the Web these days by scammers, who have NO medical training, hawking these half-brained diets.

Thanks for raising the red flag about the deadly Kimkins diet and its founder Heidi Diaz/Kimmer.
